People Incorporated hosts Wine Tasting Event to support its programs
FALL RIVER, MA (May 25, 2018) – People Incorporated celebrated its 15th Annual Wine Tasting Event on Thursday, May 17, welcoming over 550 supporters and friends who gathered at the Cultural Center in Fall River. Guests sipped fine wines and spirits while sampling dishes generously provided by local restaurants. This year’s event was especially significant as People Incorporated is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
As the Agency’s largest fundraiser that supports all of its programs and community activities, the Wine Tasting Event this year raised more than $42,000, which goes to help the Agency continue to provide additional community support and unique opportunities for people with life challenges.
As in years past, BayCoast Bank was the event’s Diamond Sponsor, the highest level of support. In addition to BayCoast Bank, People Incorporated would like to thank all of the sponsors who donated to this year’s event.
Gold Sponsors included Apothecare Pharmacy and Rua-Dumont-Audet Insurance Agency, Inc.

Once again, Nick, Ron, and Pete from Cardi’s Furniture were instrumental in helping support and publicize the event and generously provided a $500 gift card to be used as a door prize. State Representative Paul Schmid was the winner of this randomly selected prize and generously donated it back to People Incorporated to be used to purchase furniture for the Agency’s Individual Supports program.
The highlight of the night was the announcement of the Grand Raffle prize winners, each one receiving one of the five packages with a value of at least $1000. The packages were New England Sports Enthusiast, Fine Wine, Entertainment, Fine Dining, and a Brick of Lottery Tickets.
Special thanks go to The People’s Liquor Warehouse, which has donated all of the wine and spirits to every Annual Wine Tasting for the past 15 years.
