FALL RIVER – Families in need within the Greater Fall River area will have much less to worry about at the Thanksgiving dinner table this year. On Nov. 16, People Incorporated distributed over 200 turkeys and all of the fixings to help families round out a full Thanksgiving meal this holiday season.
In preparation for the distribution, participants of People Incorporated’s Day Services program carefully sorted and organized all 215 Thanksgiving baskets, each of which included items such as fresh carrots, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and dessert. Participants, along with People Incorporated employees, distributed the baskets to families from the Agency’s South Main Street location in downtown Fall River.
“People Incorporated has established a tradition of serving those in our community who might need that extra bit of assistance during the holiday season,” said Bob Canuel, president of People Incorporated.
“I would like to thank our staff and program participants who took their time and extended their efforts to ensure that all the families in the community have the opportunity to enjoy an abundant Thanksgiving meal with their loved ones.
