Throughout the year, the Community Supports program/Community Celebrations hosts several dances including a large holiday dinner/dance in December. Our Liberal Club dances are held in March, June, and September. For each of these dances, there is a large amount of preparation. This includes setting up the room and decorating. While the Community Supports program has a number of regular staff that provide transportation, a large amount of the preparation is done through our volunteers.

The individuals that I have nominated are all People, Incorporated Day Services staff. For each event, they volunteer their time to set up, serve food and have fun with our attendees. They show up an hour early to set up, and often stay late to help clean.

I am nominating these individuals not only for the time that they volunteer, but for the respect and dignity that they display at each event. All of these individuals care about the individuals we serve, and I think that they are great models for other staff within the Agency.
