Weather and Emergency-Related Closings: People Incorporated does not close to staff during inclement weather even if programs or services are not provided due to transportation or travel concerns.
The Agency announces program and service closure for the benefit of our program participants, clients, and their families and caregivers. Notification of program and service closure is announced on the People Incorporated Website (this page) and radio station WSAR 1480 AM.
All employees are expected to report for their scheduled hours within a reasonable time for safe travel. Employees who do not report to work will not be paid but may use Available Time to be paid. Staff must inform their supervisor if they are not reporting to work. Residential staff must follow the callout procedures. Due to the unique operation of the Residential Services Division, staff should be prepared to stay on duty until coverage arrives. Second shift staff should report to work at 9:00 a.m., or when safe to do so, since individuals’ day activities may be delayed or canceled. Third shift staff may be asked to come in earlier than scheduled as needed due to snow accumulation.
During inclement weather events, People Incorporated staff should watch their email carefully as there may be additional correspondence from the Residential Service Division.
